Max has lived in the UK, California, and Mexico, experiences that broadened his perspective and strengthened his belief in looking for the best in people. He brings that philosophy to his art. His oil portraits are not meant to criticize or provoke; they aim to uplift. I want my work to radiate optimism, he says. I try to capture the essence of a person their energy, their inner strength and translate it onto the canvas.
